Actuant is a leading global manufacturer and marketer of a broad range of industrial products and systems, organized into two business groups, Tools & Supplies and Engineered Solutions. Approximately 80% of sales are derived from products holding number one market positions, as measured by net sales. Our strength in each product category is the result of a combination of brand recognition, proprietary engineering and design competencies, dedicated service philosophy and global manufacturing and distribution capabilities. The two business groups reflect Actuant’s strategies of branded tools and position/motion control.

The Tools & Supplies group focuses on branded tools by providing a wide array of branded, specialized electrical and industrial tools and supplies to fluid power and electrical wholesale distributors, catalog houses and various retail distribution channels. Products include high-force hydraulic tools, electrical tools and electrical consumables, which are sold to end-user markets including general industrial, construction, production automation, do-it-yourself ("DIY") retail, retail marine and retail automotive aftermarket under such brand names as Enerpac, Hydratight, GB Gardner Bender, Kopp, Ancor, CalTerm, Del City, Acme Electric, Marinco, A.W. Sperry and BEP Marine. Tools & Supplies provides over 14,000 stock keeping units ("SKUs"), most of which are designed and manufactured in North America. In addition, Tools & Supplies maintains a sophisticated sourcing operation to supply additional products to supplement its existing product offering and meet its customers´ needs on a low cost basis. Established over 25 years ago to provide equipment, manpower and services related to bolted joint technology, Hedley Purvis was acquired by Actuant Corporation in January 2005 and Hydratight Sweeney in May 2005.

Engineered Solutions is a leading global designer and manufacturer of customized position and motion control systems for original equipment manufactures ("OEMs") in a variety of niche industrial markets. Engineered Solutions works with customers to provide customized solutions in the recreational vehicle ("RV"), truck, automotive, off highway, medical and other markets. Products include RV Slide-outs and leveling systems, heavy truck cab-tilt systems and electro-hydraulic convertible top actuation systems, flexible shaft actuators, instruments and electronic controls, actuators for turbochargers and air flow systems in engines, aerospace batteries, and utility switches. Principal brand names in the Engineered Solutions group are recognized for their engineering quality, integrated custom design and geographic reach, system solutions and include Power-Packer, Power Gear, Gits, Maxima, Elliott, Milwaukee Cylinder, Nielsen Sessions, Kwikee, Turner and Yvel. Customers include leading multi-national corporations such as DAF, DaimlerChrysler, Fleetwood, Honeywell, Karmann, Mercedes-Benz, Renault, and Volvo. Engineered Solutions continues to work closely with its OEM customers to provide unique technical solutions to our customers engineering challenges in support of improved cost and quality. Our goal is to provide system solutions to support our customers’ growth strategies.

Engineered Solutions holds the leading global position for several products including electro-hydraulic cab-tilt systems for trucks, electro-hydraulic automotive convertible top actuation systems,slide-out and leveling systems for RV motor homes and flexible shaft systems for industrial markets. These leading positions have been captured through establishing long-standing partnerships with key OEM customers in the targeted industries and dedication to global customer service. Engineered Solutions ability to demonstrate expertise in its core motion control technologies by working closely with customers engineers to develop proprietary systems has been key to developing these long-standing relationships.
